A Snakehead is a type of Asian fish that has accidentally found it's way into rivers in the northeastern US, particularly New York where it's wreaking havoc on native species. Whether the beans were canned in the U.S. or in southeast asia, I think the original story may have been referring to the Snakehead fish which is a common ingredient in East Asian recipes. If you look at the photo of the "head" with it's mouth open, it has a big thick tongue with no teeth (as opposed to a forked tongue) so whatever it is it's probably not a snake. [ Hide Replies ]
