Well, two nights ago my first litter of the season was delivered on day 104 past post-ovulation slough. The father is an albino from Chris Gillam who was produced from a new colombian albino line to a het kahl female (therefore compatable). The new blood will definitely add much needed variation to current lines. The mother was a female I got along with a large het albino female in a deal for a female yellow ebelly ball at the middle of last year. She was potentially a possible het, though the deal price was for a normal. Well, no albinos so I think its safe to say she is a normal, and a nice one at that. She has solid black eyes and an ornage hue all over her body, particularly at the rear.
So, the litter was fairly small, but I am happy with it. 14 live, 2 stills and 2 slugs. This is not bad for her first litter and also a litter sired by a male that had spent most of his time with the het albino. (she is due any day. Fingers crossed. Both female ovulated within days of each other so we are close).
I will post better individual pics once they have sloughed and fed. These pictures are terrible but I just wanted to snap a few without disturbing them too much.
