Doesn't sound like power feeding to me. Just watch the snake. You want them to be healthy without being obese.
An example of power feeding is when someone tries to get a female boa to breeding size by 2 years. It takes a lot of food to get a boa to hit 6ft, 15-20 lbs in just two years. Its just not healthy.
