RE: new bearded dragon?

There is a species of Dwarf Bearded dragons (Pogona minor) which gets about 8-10" in total length. However, I am quite sure none of these are currently available in the pet trade (there may be a very low number in Europe, but I haven't heard of any).

The most likely dragon you saw may be a Lawson's Bearded dragons (Pogona Henry Lawsoni) which are also called Rankin's Bearded dragons (Pogona rankini). These get to an average of 10". These definitely have a different pattern and don't have the spines around the head normally associated with Inland Bearded dragons. Thus, it is most likely the dragon described to you was a Lawson's bearded dragon.

If you have a picture, post it, this will allow us to be more accurate.
