The original Homozygous simple recessive animals were all bred back to animals that were closely related. So, if you are going for say Albinos, most people like to use unrelated Homozygous males to Het females, to broaden the scope of the genes. Most Homozygous female simple recessives are used to make DH's, or Codom het simple recessive.
