IMO... this would not work. A crock pot is designed to cook slow and steady. If you take a crock pock at whatever temperature, and throw a bunch of frozen rats/mice into it, the water is going to turn cold within minutes if not seconds.

A crock pot is not going to be able to heat that water warm enough to maintain those frozen rats unless you keep the rats in their for hours.. which you don't want to do.

Maybe someone can explain how I'm wrong on this. I would love to know. I'm all about easier dethawing but I don't see how this could possibly work.
