Hatching season is here, and shipping season is not far behind. With more and more localities (and even states) making new regs regarding exotics ownership, I wonder if any of you are rethinking how you do business. Although most of the rules seem to target giant constrictors and venomous, does anyone know of any specific places where our cute little BPs are illegal? Are there any places you will not ship? It seems like most of the regs are written to make the "outlaw" the owner, and not the shipper...but it has got me thinking.

I think our friends involvbed with native US species may have some insight, as its always been a dicey deal shipping native species across state lines. I recall a story of a guy who got in huge trouble just possising like a triple-homo cornsnake, because cornsnakes were a regulated species in his home state...like the bloodred striped zigzag could have slithered out of the local woods (yes, I made the whole "bloodred striped zigzag" thing up....I can't remember quite what it was....lol).

Any thoughts on this issue as it relates to BPs and the ever tightening city, county, and state ordinances being sent down these days?
