Veiled Chameleon problem!

I have had this Veiled for about a year now and up until now I have not had any health issues whatsoever. Today I was cleaning up his enclosure and noticed he had a weird growth on top of one of his eyes and it appears he cannot use it. I have him in the shower now and am going to put some saline on his eye as some members on here have done and see if this helps at all. The only Vet in my area is not available until tuesday so any help would be greatly appreciated! This guy means a lot to me and I want him to be ok!
