I'm sure your compact fluorescent is the problem. It has been discussed her in the past. I would stop using it now, and get a replacement at your convenience. If you're going to lay it on the screen then an 8 should be fine. I am a Zoo Med believer on this item and have always used 5.0's with 20 long tanks in the past when laid on the screen but zoo med says to use a 10.0 in this application. With a raised basking area I just feel a 5 is enough. If you pitch the compact fluorescent his eyes should recover in a few days.

Dragons don't like to think they can be attacked from all directions. They feel more secure if they only have to pay attention to one direction. So what I was saying was to just cover 3 sides with paper or a background or something. Even my adults don't like the 2 long sides to be both open. Not much you can do about them seeing their reflection in the glass, except to keep the room brighter.
