You sound passionate for your animal as do I. I had my trials and errors building cages, so I would say that if you found the appropiate screen, you should go all screen why?. I have seen the difference, chameleons really do appreciate the flow of air, if you can provide it, they will more likely thrive healthy, as for the walls, misting is appropiate but a drip system is enjoyed best, once a day, you can mist the leaves of live plants if you have any in there like pothos, they also drink out of dishes if it has a leaf in it, the drip system works cuss they see the water and immediately turn to drink from it. make sure you have a dish below to collect the water, too much humidity is bad if you have other substrate below. The walls can always be wiped, but I let you decide, chameleons take a lot of work
