When I first got mine, he was about 5 1/2 ft, 12 pounds, dehydrated and 3yo. He's grown about another ft in 6 months, put on 2-3 more pounds, but still looks skinny to me. He's thick and heavy-bodied, but has a lot of loose skin around his neck. You can pinch and hold about 1/4-1/2 inch. I don't want to overfeed, but I do want him to be at a healthy weight. I saw an ad last week and someone said they had a boa that was 7ft and 45 pounds. I thought, "NO way!" But I do want to get idea of a proper weight from experienced keepers. I have an obese corn that went on 'snakewatchers', so I have a tendency to feed conservatively now. I feed every week, but smaller portions. This boa is eating jumbo rats every 7-10 days with no problem. [ Hide Replies ]
