I have a ranco thermostat controlling all cages and the probe is directly on the heat tape on the middle cage. I have the thermostat set at 95 degrees and my temps are just right. My question is, the probe wire is also directly on the heat tape and I'm wondering if I'm going to have a problem with the wire burning or melting. Will the probe wire withstand a constant 95 degrees with no ill effects? Or should I move the wire out of the way so just the probe comes in contact with the heat? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. | ||
