Melafix / Pimafix on frogs ??

Anyone know much about the use of Melafix or Primafix, when it comes to frogs. I have a White's with what looks like a thick white slimy cap over both of his eyes and someone told me to look into using one of these products to help remove fungus from the frog ??? --- He also said it works on Impactions for my amphibius friends??
