Duh, I have many and would be hard to monitor each cage to see if the rheostat needed tweaking or not. I've tried three stats and really like two of them. Both Helix and Herpstat Pro get my seal of approval. I like proportional stats, not full on heating elements. The helix IMO is good for 24/7 setups like growing up hatchlings where a night drop is not as necessary. I love the Herpstat Pro for my breeding setups, all the bells and whistles include. The other stat I tried was the double ranco unit form boaphile. Still a good unit I just didn't like the full on heating element. I plan on using the ranco units seperated as failsafes for the other ststs. Run the proportional stats powered through Ranco's measuring room temps. If the ambient room temp reaches the shutoff level, then all cage heaters OFF. | ||
