I don't think they are Axanthic if that is what you are getting at. I do think there is some type of color changing gene in them. What that is I don't know. I don't see yellow in them, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. It may be another form of reccesive hypomelanism, but only more breeding trials will shed some light on that. The one thing I do know is they are different and that is why I bought in on the project. The adults Jesse had, had not changed color from the time they where babies. They looked almost exactly the same as after there first sheds. These are the first F2 animals produced from this bloodline. I have managed to pickup another F1 animal that was from Jesse's first breeding of his Red Group male to the matriarch of these guy/gals so I definitely feel I have a good project on my hands. If Jesse sees this maybe he can put up the link to pixs of this years litter and litters past! And shed a little more light on the subject!
