Ouch, good luck with your search. 20 years ago when my wife and I had our first (and only) apartment, we got very lucky. The manager said it was OK to have snakes, just keep them inside and out of site from the other tenents. We even had an outside closet I raised a few rodents in.
IMO, the best plan is full disclosure, find a place that will allow you to keep your snakes INSIDE and out of sight. If you sneak them in, you could be setting yourself up for eviction. And that could haunt you forever. ----- Thanks,
Dave Colling
