Mr. "G",

You know how I showed her to you about 4:00 PM on that shelf? When you left, after watering the last two isles, a little after 5:00 PM, including her cage mind you, I went right down to check on her. I could see that she was already skinny, a sure sign that the deed is done. Since it was fewer days than I expected, I assumed slugs, but MUCH to my delight, there was that one baby peering over her back wiggling his little head around. Another sure sign but this one that at least that baby is full term and fine as frog hair. So I ran, ran I tell you to catch you before you got away, so you could revel in the moment with me. You know how I dance and act like a little kid with his very first puppy every time I find fresh babies? But, alas you were already gone and your stubborn refusal to get a cell phone meant I could not call you to have you return for a better look. No, you were gone on your long drive home after a long day shoveling Boa Poop and watering the same.

Just so you know, she was actually up there pushing out those dozens of babies the very moment you were watering her just inches below that baby laden shelf. I'll bet you wish you had checked her again before you left! If you had, I still would have been tickled with only 35 or 40 babies perhaps... right? Just kidding!

I had to be content looking at them while holding a mirror over her so I could see what was on the other side of her ample coils. I couldn't wait! The humidity from the babies kept fogging up the mirror too! I'm not kidding! It was more than an hour before she was actually done and I could get a better look at all the youngsters. She was completely allert the entire time looking to nail me should I threaten those kidletts.

I will be forced to show them to you in a few days next time you are here and again later after they shed. I can't wait for that!!

Great stuff!!!

Thanks Mr. "G" for making an extremely rare appearance here on the Boa Forum! See you soon and yes you better believe it! We are definitely going to Las Margaritas to celebrate next time you are here! As if there was ever any doubt.

Jeff
