it's a 125gal. i just have to water the plants, i bury snake poop in the dirt every once in a while to fertalize them, it works pretty well, but the majority of the poop i just clean up. and i have a drainage layer in the bottom so I just siphon the excess water out, to keep the roots from rotting. (and so i don't have stagnant water sitting there) or if you were talking about the pool, then I do change it out every 3 days or so (cuz that's the time it takes for her to poop in there again.) and I have a filter to clean out whatever clings to the rocks between changes. And i take all the rocks out and scrub them down with soap, and then rinse them like crazy when i feel like it's getting gross. i also have a waterfall to keep it from being stagnant. (i am a little obsessive about mold and general grossness growing in there) this is my first vivarium. it is clean enough so that i wouldn't mind living in there (i am a clean freak).
