This is advanced blister disease in a young BRB. Problems can arise when these snakes are kept too damp/warm/unsanitary. This is a picture of an animal four months after a gentleman bought it from me. The condition is called bacterial dermatosis or "belly rot". It is caused by a combination of high temps, humidity, and infrequent substrate changes.


The animal was treated with topical and injectable antibiotics for several weeks. Temps and humidity were lowered. Paper towels were used as substrate and changed frequently. This is what the animal looked like one shed after treatment.


I don't mean to take anything away from your cage. It really is very beautiful and it sounds like you spend quite a bit of time maintaining it. I'm just trying to say - Light humidity, yes. Wet, dank, stagnant conditions, no.
