You asked..."I was wondering if she lays them in the sand laying area and they sit for the week can i still dig them up or should i just let them incubate in the sand?"...if the sand dries out or becomes to moist from misting, etc. then the eggs won't do well (obviously).



You asked "can i use my incubating material, vermiculite, as the egg laying substrate? Will she lay them in there?"...she might lay them in there, but you face the same problem of the moisture level being maintained...and I would worry about the vermiculite being ingested accidentally when she's digging.



Do you not have someone who could dig them up for you and start them incubating?
