A ball python bite is not very painful at all, and usually happens so quick you don't even have a chance to flinch. It is always a misunderstanding on the part of the human. They almost always realize as soon as they hit you that you are not a mouse, and let go immediately. If they don't, just stay calm and gently pry the snake's mouth open. Their teeth are sharp, but very small. And, no, they have no fangs, and no venom. Just clean the mark. I've never had one get infected.
It's really no big deal.
