It all depends on the snake like another poster said.

If they are shedding and eatting regularly I keep them in the 12qt for quite awhile....even up to 750g. They curl up in the back behind the water bowl and love it.

But if the feeding changes or they seem skittish I move them to a larger container so they can feel a bit more secluded.

All in all don't change a good thing....if it works keep doing it (up to a certain point obviously)...but if the snake is shedding and eatting properly I'd say you are good to go.
