>>I'm thinking about getting a chameleon and I can't resist the Jackson's. Soooo my question is: what size and type of cage should I start out with (a baby) and what should I have for a full grown. Could I just get a 65 gallon and let it live in that it's whole life? Because I saw a 65 gallon for real cheap. Also another question: Are the animals from the reptile shows (I'm going to the one in Daytona on the 18th-19th) healthy, or should I get one from a local pet store or online? Thanks to anyone who answers.

Not sure why you have had tons of answers yet - but I'll take a stab at it.

First, you mentioned a 65 gallon. I hope you are referring to a reptarium not a glass tank (those are not acceptable for larger chams).

If you had a 65 gal reptarium, it would be large enough for a single jackson - yes. You will most likely get better results if you use it with the longest part vertical - but the zippers on those are truly not designed for continued ease of access. That is precisely why most folks get the alum screen ones - link: Cages

If you are getting an adult cham - the 24x24x48 cage will be the best choice for a happy jackson.

As for info on jacksons, here is a great link:

Good luck!
