The laws pertaining to the large constrictors, potentially dangerous animals, and such are ones I'm OK with.
It's other laws I don't realy agree with.
For example, the ownership of CB corn snakes.
Last I checked, the only keepable corn snake in NJ was albinos and snows. All other morphs are considered illegal. I personally dislike albinos(snows I'm fine with) but personally, there was a time I wanted a corn, and the only morph I wanted was an Okeetee. Unfortunately, due to the laws at the time, I was unable to fulfill my dream! And to this day I STILL probably cannot get one legally.
I also disagree with some of the wild collecting permits. Some species are understandable to require permits for collecting, such as eastern kings. But to need to pay to collect black rats and racers, animals that are generally abundant where they occur like other animals that don't need permits, such as painted turtles and snapping turtles, is just ridiculous in my opinion.
I feel this post will soind ridiculous to most of you, I don't really keep up to date with the herp laws around here, maybe I should? lol ----- Scott
