Thanks for the ideas, already tried the bribes and closet strategies. Haven't tried the ulitimatum thing yet, been married too long to take care of myself in my own apartment.



There's actually much more to the story. My last pet (6 ft. long Boa Constrictor that I had raised from a newborn) escaped his cage, and things ended up badly for him. He got injured when I was trying to get him out of the sleeper sofa couch where he was hiding. Given his escape was my screw-up, I don't mind compromising now. I can wait a few more months. I'll just drool over all the forum pictures until then.
