The chow is not harmful - it is only leaves ground up. If the worms eat the chow and then the cham eats the worms... see where I am going here?



Leaving some chow and silkworms is a good idea. But here is a tip: place a small grate under the worms/chow... so the worm droppings fall through to the bottom of the cup. You can do this with some plastic sewing canvas (hobby/craft store).



However it certainly shouldn't hurt the cham to go hungry for a few days - if it is young adult or older. Be sure to regulate the misters so you don't have a flood to come home to.



Nobody to babysit the cham?

Just a friend who can check on him once per day?
