With such a large area, I think you have the unique opportunity of creating a very naturalistic environment for your burm. While it doesn't deal with large snakes, I would really really suggest you check out The Art of Keeping Snakes, by Philippe De Vosjoli. I think you could really get a lot out of it for such a project.
