thanks! can you tell me how big he/she will get? It had been at the pet shop for over a year and a half (they got it as a tiny little baby) and he never sold, and they told my wife today she could have it for $40 so she took it! I've been able to find out info on basic care, and as you can see by my signature I'm not new to snakes, but I don't know much about the gopher snakes. I've not measured him, but he looks to be about 3.5 feet long (cage is 4' long) and is approx. 1.5 years old...is he almost an adult, or is he undersized for his age?
