I had another litter of Jungles born last Wednesday. The mother is very special to me. She produced a litter of "normals" for me back in 2005 that have turned out to be quite abnormal in my opinion. I'll show you the parents and abnormal normals from the 05 litter first and then show you the Jungles from last week.
Photo of Sierra the mother:

Mom's laterals:

It still gives me heartache that I lost this animal without passing on her genes. This was Sierra's sister - Tierra. I don't know the lineage of these animals but I do know that they were sold from California so I have always assumed that they were born there. Tierra and another animal I own (Bianca) are the most beautiful "normals" that I have seen in the flesh.
Here is a photo of the father of the original 05 litter, Tiago (acquired from Ben Siegel, unknown origin):

I also held back a male. He is living in my classroom at school. There were 11 large babies in that litter so I sold 8 of them. Would love to hear from others about how their Sierra kids have progressed.
The crazy thing is that Mom colored up all the way into adulthood. Here is a photo of her when she was about a year and a half old:

Camillia and Donita are going to get more colorful. Can you tell I'm having fun?
Now for the 2007 litter - you met Mom above.
Here is a photo of the Jungle father of the recent litter, Tito (acquired from Craig Tanner):
By the way, this male has been impregnated every female he has been with. Five for five with five different females. In the name of outcrossing, he has been sold and will be moving to another collection very soon. It will be a sad day but his legacy will live on here forever........I have held back bunches of his children. Hopefully his sons will all be equally fertile. Long live Tito!!!
So what happens when you combine the clean color saturation of Mom with the Jungle gene? I can't wait to find out. The kids should begin shedding around Wednesday or so. The patterns are incredible......now I just want to see what degree of contrast & color they will be starting with. Here are a couple photos from the birthing:

I didn't start out with the intention of making such a long post. I definitely got caught up in my own excitement about this project. If you made it this far, thanks for looking. gray
