I'm not too sure that I have this exactly right, but a 25-year old Swedish university student was apparently bitten by a Diamondback rattler - afterwhich he was flown to hospital to be treated with anti-venin at a cost of $US 33,410/Euro 24,500.

En man i 25-årsåldern vårdas på intensivvårdsavdelningen på Universitetssjukhuset i Örebro, efter att ha blivit biten av en västlig diamantskallerorm. En mycket giftig orm. Mannens skador var på torsdagen livshotande, enligt Nerikes Allehanda.

- Det är som ett huggormsbett fast många gånger värre, säger överläkare Lars Berggren till tidningen.

Den 25-åriga mannen blev biten i tisdags och lyckades själv ta sig till sjukhus, det är dock oklart om det är mannens egen orm. Han har behandlats med ett serum, som fick skickas i iltransport från Stockholm, ett serum som enligt Nerikes Allehanda kostar omkring 230 000 kronor.

Dödligheten för sådana här bett är mellan 20 och 30 procent om de inte behandlas, enligt överläkare Lars Berggren.
