Jonathan,

...I have quite a few ads running here on kingsnake and the same thing happens to me. They say they are sending the money and it never arrives. Some of them probably think that if they do this to enough sellers they will find one who isn't paying attention and goes ahead and ships without getting payment. I think there are some other people who just enjoy the shopping more than ever actually buying anything.

...My ads thoroughly describe the payment and shipping details and I still get people who ask questions that are specifically answered in the ads. I also get people asking questions about the animals that indicate they know nothing at all about them. I have had numerous people ask why my Argentinian Rainbow Boa in my ad does not look like PICs of other Argentinian Boas they have seen. It makes me think that there are many people who only check out the ads here on kingsnake.com rather than ever reading the forums and learning anything about the animals. I think some of them just see a colorful picture and have to own an animal they know nothing about. In summation......

Snakes are great, people suck,

Jeff

>>What do you all think of people who commit to purchasing an animal (or more) and then don't end up sending money and won't respond via email or phone call? What do you do to reduce the number of instances of this sort of behavior?

>>

>>I've had a couple of "buyers" like this recently who contacted ME to buy animals (I never advertised them) and then they haven't gone through with their commitment and it's just plain irritating!

>>

>>The only thing I can come up with at this point is just to keep a little list of people I'll never bother engaging in a transaction with. But I still can't think of anything to reduce of eliminate this behavior. Any suggestions?

>>

>>And to keep on topic I can't wait for this one to shed for the second time! And if you'll notice in the lower left hand corner of the pic, this boa HAS TWO TAILS!!! lol

>>

>>

>>Thanks for any responses! jb
