I would suggest a salmon boa. They are around that price range, and are a very nice morph. BCI's temperments are great, in my opinion. Get one as a baby, and handle him/her often. Also most males tend to stay smaller than females. I have heard, that BCC's tend to be a bit more aggressive. I do not own any BCC, so I can not verify this. Hope this helps.
