Help! female veileds fighting

Ok i know im going to have to separate them now which is going to to be a complete pain but why are they fighting? I have never had or heard of females fighting and now the smallest ones back left foot is pretty messed up. Theres no male in with them or that they can see. Its just 3 female veileds in one screen cage. Does any body have any advice?
