In a restricted space such as a cage they will fight for dominance, space, the best basking spot, the best drinking and hiding spot, etc. Some species are more tolerant of other chams but veileds don't tend to be one of them. Individual chams can be more or less aggressive too. Even if they don't actually injure each other they can still stress each other by displaying. Eventually the "loser" will suffer, not get the water food or space it needs and become sick. Separate them and make sure they can't even see each other from across the room. [ Hide Replies ]
