Recently I've seen a couple older suri females for sale in Kingnsake.com classified section. One was lowered to $250 plus shipping, I saw it relisted several times, I believe it could have been because there were no serious buyers, no money from prospective buyers, or that they were in a hurry to sell that they lowered her from the original asking price. She was said to be CB, and not that bad looking either.
Then again, I've seen juvi/adults priced in the $400-$$$ range from well known breeder's lines, and being sold by reputable breeders as well. The more you ask for her, either she has to be amazing looking/one of a kind (IMO) or you have to be a well known seller, people want to trust the seller when they say what a snake is or what lines it is from (just in case there is other localities in her background and the seller is dishonest, or WC and again, the seller is dishonest). Reputation can sell a snake. I do agree that you should start by asking for what you believe she is worth; and CB, healthy, mature females will sell for more; so start a little higher and don't be impatient for a buyer to run up. After awhile, if you feel you are asking too much based on other sales or you get a great offer, you can change your mind.
I paid $250 for a CB male of nice quality and got a juvi/adult female, who looks to have had a rough childhood (but still gorgeous) of unknown origin cheap from a friend who breeds/deals with snakes for $150 when he was asking around $250 for her in his store. It just depends...
Could help if you know if she originated from a well known line... example: Futo, Tudehope, etc. bloodlines... if you know where he got her from you could do a little research.
Good luck!
