True Dwarf Burm is am "island form" in which evolution cause the population to develop smaller. Likely because the island had no large food for larger specimens to feed upon. Thus to survive the snakes had to be able to reproduce at a smaller size. In this case the smallest have passed their genes on to make these dwarf burms.



She really is smaller than an adult female ball python!
