The size of your tank would definitely fit a snake that is four foot long. Add the width to the depth and it should either equal or exceed your snake's length. As for the baby, make sure it has lots of tight hiding spots in there and put the water bowl somewhere touching the side or front of the tank (so he will find it in his roaming around the perimeter of the tank) and it should be fine.



Make sure that your divider is secure. I had a divided tank, and found the two babies together about three times before I put them both into separate tanks. They can slide between very small gaps.
