i use black bulbs for all by animals as they are most active at night & it allows me to see them without disturbing them. BCC, leos, ball python & some of my T's all have small wattage black bulbs. i have been under the impression they are unable to see the black light emitted from the bulb, opposed to a normal heat bulb.
