Brazon Bend State Park...my old stompin' grounds.
Great place for H. platyrhinos, so. copperheads, Texas Coral Snakes, plenty of lindys, broad-banded watersnakes, Thamnophis, western cottonmouths, western muds, plenty of alligators, speckled and prairie kings, anoles, skinks, Hyla cinerea, Rana catesbiana, some chelonians...in other words, a lot of typical southeastern swamp and prairie fare.
From G-town, you take I-45 N to Hwy. 6 and go NE, then go left on Hwy. 35 and right on 1462, and follow the signs to the park.
Have fun!
