slightly off topic but, in my BRB litters this year I had a bit of an oddity and wondered if any boa breeders have seen similar results.



I've had 4 litters this year, all gestated at the low end of temps for the species. The gestational period for all was slightly longer and all live babies were born full term no yolk and ready to go.



BUT!!



Two litters had no slugs, one whopper of 34 and one smaller one at 16. These two litters had what I would consider a normal sexual distribution 17.17 and 10.6



The other two litters had many slugs, one had 13 babies with 16 slugs, the other had 15 babies and mom had a full belly from eating slugs. Very comon in BRB's. Actually the 13 baby mom ate all 16 of her slugs I just found the litter soon enough to count them. Both of these half(ish) baby/slug litters were predominantly females 0.13 and 3.12



I'm thinking could all (most) of the slugs been the males?



Has anyone noticed this in BCI/BCC/BCA etc? Larger slug count litters being female heavy beyond normal distributions?





Also, both females with large slug count litters were bred by the same male so could be related to him.
