Completely depends on your preference, where you live, how you house your animals, seasonal variations, etc. All my BCI breeding pairs are already started and have been for almost two weeks now. Personally, i quit feeding about 10-14 days before introduction and begin lowering the NTH temps and DTH temps two weeks before that. Just to give you an idea of dates that i am working with this year(reduce temps 1 degree per week for 4 weeks, beginning 8/30/07) (quit feeding 9/15/07) (introduce 9/28/07). I live in the southeastern US, so as the outdoor climate changes i tend to follow the trend in humidity and temp (this changes every year, so does my decision as to when to begin breeding season). Every breeder has different tricks and swears by different methods (feeding, temp cycling, light cycling, starting early or late, etc), so keep tinkering with your specific methods and animals until you find the perfect recipe. Good luck.
