they need 2 week olds or 1/4 grown, the basic rule is no larger than the space between their eyes to the tip of their nose.



If you are using real pinhead size, they probably have little interest in that, its like giving you a sliver of potate chip and not the whole chip



I also agree, no sand or cali-sand or repti-sand for babies, but extend that to they are much larger around 12 inches.
