The main issue with melamine is to make sure you're getting the thicker, thermo-fused melamine layer. And by layer I don't mean the thickness of the entire product, but the thickness of the actual plastic layer over the particle board interior. You want to avoid the product sold at home improvement centers that is nothing other than a low quality particle board covered with a melamine foil. The melamine coating is so thin you can often see the particle board through it in regular light. I suppose this stuff would work for a ball python if you at least covered the interior with something more durable. [ Hide Replies ]
