I've already gone off on WKMG on this forum. In adition to their monitor misinformation they recently did a report about endangered wildlife on the Galapagos islands and mentioned chimps, elephants, giraffes and antelopes (not a misprint and once again...I am not making this up!!!) That really need to fire their fact-checker. I found the Galapagos report almost more disappointing than the monitor one, if they had such animals there I might actually find it an interesting place to visit. I really liked the comment from the police chief about catching the monitor and turning loose in the woods. According to Kevin Enge who is a biologist for FWC, it is technically illegal to catch a brown anole and then release it. He of course said you would probably not get in trouble for this, somehow I think FWC might think a little differently about a nile.
