I just took 2 photos trying to capture the orange flanks and belly on my CA female. She's the mother of my '07 Black Gold Dwarf litter. That's where they get a lot of their orange on their sides. I got her in '04. Maybe she was one of those '04 Costa Rican imports Russo mentions. She and her babies change colors like crazy. They love to climb. And they seem to like that moist montaine environment. Get kinda pissy when its too hot or too dry. She's silver/gray anteriorly and she's got that distinctive black tear spot below her eye.
I have some other Costa Ricans. From the photos I've seen on the web and in the literature yours looks like a Cosa Rican and I think mine is too.
Can I get some thoughts on the origin of my CA boa?
