so have experience on both.....

Helix:
-Nice unit
-relatively short probe only about 4 or 5 feet. can be special ordered with any length probe.
-Night drop requires an external cable plugged into a timer - messy IMO!!
-Temp adjustments are one degree and only up so to go down a couple of degrees requires going around the entire range PITA
-Overall, a really good single use controller

Herpstat PRO:
-Awesome unit, by far my favorite of the two
-Four seperate channels, each with a 10'probe so much easier to reach those further points right outa the box. Probes have external connectors so are easily replaced.
-Built in night drop with each channel have it's own programable amount. All four channels tied to internal clock for time of night drop.
-Temp adjustments are in tenth of a degree (maybe a bit overkill?) and are up or down, so much easier to set.
-Price is half that of four comparable Helix's with night drop cords and timers (with 8 power connections 4-t-stat and 4-timer)
-IMO an awesome controller for anywhere you will have two to four seperate heat sources to control. I even use one per on my ten high CB110 racks:
Channel 1 controls tubs 1 and 2
Channel 2 controls tubs 3, 4 and 5
Channel 3 controls tubs 5, 6 and 7
Channel 4 controls tubs 8 and 10

The grounded cord is quite often not necessary as most heat elements are two wire only.

Thanks,
