Water sealing interior of Pine box

I'm starting to construct a 5' box for my Boa and purchased 3/4" 24x48" Pine panels for the back and side walls. Reading a recent post, I hear that humidity and temperature differences can cause the wood to warp.



Anyone have tips on sealing/finishing the interior of the walls to prevent this? I want to be sure that run-of-the-mill sealant or stains are not too toxic.
