They're not cheap, but if you were to only plug in your thermostats to one it would be great peace of mind for us folks in areas where it can get COLD in the winter. I guarantee it would run heat tape/cord for atleast a few hours while your power was out, I mean they're designed to run PC's for enough time to save all you info and shut down before the power runs out. I think something designed to run multiple pc's for about 20 min would run some basic heat tape for a while. I'll have to do some exact math on this, but it sounds plausible. Plus as an added bonus, they usually have the best surge protection available on the civilian market built in. | ||
