...I used to see the same large range of emotions when I took snakes to the libraries for summer reading programs. Little kids are great, most of them were fascinated with snakes and I could have them at least touching a snake within a few minutes but there were still some that would stay all the way across the room. I do think people's fears of snakes are based upon the misinformation they have gotten from other people.
