I remember the "Enough is enough" post. As soon as I posted on it, it was taken down. I remember the first response to it that I disagreed with...

... but in THIS post, I genarally agree with BlakeDeffenbaugh and Wallbanger26. Judgemental sarcasm has grown old... I think if the same question has been posted over-and-over again, the next person to post that question deserves an answer just as much as the guy who originally posted it ten years ago.

I am newer to this hobby (maybe not as new as some), but that doesn't make my questions any less credible or valid than anyone else in this forum, nor does it make me ABOVE anyone else. There are going to be new people entering this hobby every day, and I agree with Melinda who responded to the "Enough is Enough" post when she said something along the lines of that she'd: rather have people ask questions and get the right information, and sure, they could take the time to do their own research, but that's what we're all here for, to help eachother out. I mean, since when is the spread and increase of knowledge a bad thing?? Some people treat it like it is.

It's a shame that you have to think about your question and apologize for it before you even get a resonse. DISCUSSION IS NOT ALWAYS DISCUSSION. The "Darkside" post, for example, was not even remotely the sharing of opinions. It became more Ad Hominom, an "attack to the man," sometimes having little to do with the issue. DISCUSSION can be heated but it should not be DISRESPECTFUL. There were insults, discouragement of business and sales, making fun of signatures (I mean, come on, seriously, are we in high school?? Than again maybe we are with the Moderator Gods), belittling, whose thingy is bigger (metephorically speaking), and whatever else!! And that was not the only post.

I think this is the kind of hobby where it is NECESSARY to be open minded. Though I may disagree with cutting eggs and breeding very young males... I say the power to the people that do, and can do things that some of us cannot. Though you disagree, the person should not be disrespected. I would be more than willing to hear opposing views to mine and let them try to convince me otherwise. You never know if you might learn something from them. What they do may be talent, not necessarily taboo. This forum should not be a competition for who does things better.

And I have experienced the breeders that don't want to deal with you because you are not (and probably never will be) high-dollar material. But that's a whole other story.

I don't know about everyone else, but I LOVE to talk snakes to anyone that wil listen... and even better... anyone that will talk back. Shouldn't that be the same for anyone in this hobby, on any level?

Just my $0.20. No disrespect intended. If you are offended, I apologize. That would not have been what I was going for.
